No practice on New Year's Day (Wed) / Other notes for January

 

Practice updates:

There is no CMA workout on New Year's Day (Wednesday).  However, if you want to swim on New Year's Day, the La Jolla Cove Swim Club is holding their annual "Polar Bear Plunge" at 9am at Kellogg Park / La Jolla Shores.  More details can be found on their website at- https://www.lajollacoveswimclub.com/event-5918680.

Facility updates:

The pool is scheduled to be configured for long-course on Friday (3 Jan) and later this month on the 24th (Fri).  The team will be practicing in the smaller/warmer instructional pool on the 8th (Wed), 10th (Fri), and 13th (Mon).

CMA parka update and other merchandise

The parkas are now available.  If you have ordered a parka, you can pick up the parka at practice and submit payments to the team Venmo account.  CMA also purchased 2 extra parkas (1 size medium and 1 size large), so if you did not order a parka but want one, the team has two available for $130 each.  In addition to the parkas, the CMA silicone swim caps are available for $10, and the CMA towels are available for $40.

Payment Reminder: Coronado Masters Association (CMA) monthly payments are due shortly. Please send your payment no later than the 5th of next month. You can pay via Venmo or check – NO CASH. Remember to include in the Venmo/check comments who payment is for (first and last name) and the month for which you are paying.  

US Masters Swimming membership: CMA’s rental contract with the BBMAC requires that CMA swimmers have a USMS membership. Membership is now available for 2025.  To obtain or renew a membership, visit this URL: https://www.usms.org/join-usms/join-or-renew.
