CMA club notes for October

Pool updates:

The BBMAC pool schedule is posted for October at https://bbmac.org/Lap-Swim/ although the link for October 2024 actually appears to be showing a calendar for October 2022.  We will contact the facility about the schedule to confirm any closures or changes (e.g. long-course vs short-course) for the month.

Practice updates:

We will have a guest coach on Wednesday, 9 Oct, and Friday, 11 Oct, while coach Rhonda is out-of-town.

Future Liberty Station Swimming Pool / Community Input Request

The city of San Diego has requested input from community members and active swimmers regarding a potential multi-pool facility (50-meter and 25-meter pools) called the NTC Park Aquatic Center to be built in Liberty Station.  The city has posted a survey at https://engage.counsilmanhunsaker.com/ntc-park-aquatic-center with questions about pool usage and swimmer preferences.  The survey will close after 4 Oct.

Payment Reminder: Coronado Masters Association (CMA) monthly payments are due shortly. Please send your payment no later than the 5th of next month. You can pay via Venmo or check – NO CASH. Remember to include in the Venmo/check comments who payment is for (first and last name) and the month for which you are paying.  

US Masters Swimming membership: CMA’s rental contract with the BBMAC requires that CMA swimmers have a USMS membership for 2024. To obtain a membership, visit this URL: https://www.usms.org/join-usms/join-or-renew.
